Vacation Time

I love the stress free moments of a well earned vacation.
An unexpected, blissful day of no deadlines, appointments, or traffic hassles.

In this day and age the practice of a clear, decision making process is crucial to survival.
When stuck in the mire of confusion, a clear head is necessary to progress through the muck.
There are many decisions that sometimes bump into each other with vigorous velocity.
Fear of mistakes can freeze you if you allow it to.
Nimbleness of thought and fluidity of creativity is the juice to the breakfast of life!

Summertime

Last week the camp season began with a wimper.
There were a total of 8 happy children that I shared a week with at the Cape St Claire Clubhouse for five days.
The show rolls into Chesapeake Children's Museum at 8:45 am on Monday Morning.
I look forward to more "Control the Center, Develop the Pieces, Protect the King".
My favorite idea was of the two Bishops. What is their strenghth?
The can pin two different pieces at the same time(idea pointed out in Morphy vs.Two Victims).

Another piece of my past

Gary Coleman, dies at 42!
In the past 5 years a lot of my past has died.
The future is bright, but promised to no one.
I do appreciate the gifts of the modern(2010) world.
There is something heartfelt when part of the past dies.

The year has been good, but I am ready for the next leg up!

The morning after

I have forgotten the feeling of weariness after 8 hours of chess play. Close, but no cigar!
However, I feel much better about this game, and my ability looking at it with a clearer head.
I am still a fan of my favorite team no matter how many times they disappoimt me.
The work has begun again!

Getting into the flow.

It is a blur

This time of year I wind down and crank up at the same time.
Some new found conveniences have helped matters much.
I have decided to let my chess team battle without me tonight.
I need to prepare to play at an acceptable level with them in the future.
I am under construction, while operating at a high frequency.

This month has vanished before my very eyes.
The chess portion of this blog is due to grow in the next month.

Creating a bed

I spent the last glorious minutes of this georgeous morning helping Tonia assemble a rollaway bed in the guest room. Great fun if you like that kind of thing.
Three weeks left in this semester's Eastern Shore journey.
It is always fun to go East. I would like more opportunities there in the future.
In a half an hour it will be off to the West.
